With your speakers attached to Clip Master, you will find that video display on the PC monitor sometimes lags behind the audio. But on playback of your captured clip, with your speakers attached to your sound-card, you should find that audio and video are in synch.

Understand that, thanks.
What happens is that during playback, the recording may judder for a second, and thereafter the sound is not in sync. Any ideas? PC is a PIII 450, 128Mb ram, ATI rage 128 16Mb graphics card, creative 1373 sound card, 13Gb disk (ultra ata) and 512K L2 cache. Thanks Neal |

Please advise a solution to this problem as it is stopping us using clipmaster until it is sorted out.

We aware that audio and video go out of sync on exceptionally long clips. I am looking into this issue for you and will inform you of my conclusions soon.

Re: Sound synchronisation

Please make sure that you have version 3.658. You can find this out via the fasteasy.exe.
It might be possible that the transfer rate of the USB is not fast enough especially if other USB devices are connected. Please check the following: Reduce the hardware acceleration of the soundcard for the audio playback. Disable the preview while capturing. Reduce the video and audio bitrate. Please also choose post-processing for working with audio. FAST Technical Support |

We have version 3.60.
Also, what is fasteasy.exe? Do not have a file of this name. Can we upgrade software? RegardsNeal Carter

Where does it say that it is version 3.60? Do a search on the hard drive for fasteasy.exe. You should find it in C

Re: Sound synchronisation

Thanks for the reply.
The exe you probably mean is clipmaster.exe - this is version 3.654. We do not have fasteasy.exe here. Please can you therefore send me a copy of the latest version and any particulars about installation. Neal Carter Systems Manager BM Polyco Ltd Great Cambridge Ind Estate Lincoln Road ENFIELD Middx. Can we download the software update?
|
Being from an other country than the UK posting the CD would probably not work for me. Is it possible to download the update then? I would greatly appericiate it... Regards G |

Re: Can we download the software update?

As build 3.658 is almost identical to the previous version and contains no major changes that will benefit users, it is not available to download. However, if you want to use it, you should contact your dealer, as thay are your point of contact for technical support in your own country.
